The Rev. Dr. Steven J. Summers has pastored churches of all sizes, was the past president of the Virginia Conference Council on Finance and Administration, has served as a District Superintendent, and is currently the Director of Connectional Ministries for the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church. Dr. Summers is a graduate of the University of Richmond (BA, Phi Beta Kappa), Virginia Union University School of Theology (MDiv), and Drew University (DMin). As a Disciple of Jesus Christ and an ICF ACC certified trained Coach, his passion is to journey with other leaders to realize the positive adaptive change they seek. Steve coaches from more than technical coaching gifts; he asks evocative questions and helps others find self-clarity from a place nurtured by two careers, as an owner and CEO of a large John Deere dealership and as an ordained Elder in the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church. Steve states, "The reality is we can all continually learn, grow into the best versions of ourselves, and have a positive influence on our communities and the environment… if we have the courage to take the first step with a credentialed leadership coach."  His greatest joys are journeying with others, his family, and his beagle, Dublin. Steve's newest passion is attempting to learn woodworking.
